Below are the steps to create a Guardian account, link a BHP-RAVC, calibrate it, and connect it to Wi-Fi.

Once you download the Guardian App, log in or create a new account (if you are a first-time user).

If you have not created a location, you will be prompted to add a new Location.

Locations #

1. Open the side menu (three horizontal lines).
   

   

2. Select a location or tap the plus icon to add a location.
   

   

   1. If adding a location, you’ll need to give the location a name.
      

      

   2. Optional. You can add the insurance company and address.
      

      

   3. Verify the information you added.
      

      

Add a Device, connect to Wi-Fi, and calibrate. #

1. Select a location.
2. Tap “+Add Device”.
   

   

3. Select “Valve Controllers”.
   

   

4. Optional, Name the device.
5. Enter the device PIN.
   1. The device PIN can be found on the bottom of the BHP-RAVC.
   2. It is 4 characters long and can be a mixture of letters and numbers.
      

      

      

6. Join the Wi-Fi network created by the device.
7. Allow the device to find devices on the network.
8. Select your local Wi-Fi network.
9. Enter the password for the Wi-Fi network.
   1. This process should only take a few minutes. If it has been longer than 10 minutes tap the “X” and restart the process.
10. Once connected to the Wi-Fi network the device will begin a calibration process.
11. Since the valve is closed the system will open the valve. Watch the valve and verify the device has opened the valve.
    

    

12. The system will then close the valve. Watch the valve and verify the device has closed the valve.
    

    

13. Repeat steps 11 and 12 until the calibration is complete.
14. Once calibration is complete the device will appear in the location list.
    

    

You are now ready to connect your Guardian account to B-hyve.

Connecting to your B-hyve account #

After you have connected your Remote Access Valve Controller to Guardian and assigned it to a location you can connect it to B-hyve.

1. Open your B-hyve app.
2. Log in if needed.
3. Tap on “My B-hyve”.
   

   

4. Tap on “B-hyve Account”.
   

   

5. Tap on “Connect Guardian”.
6. Enter your username and password for the Guardian app.
7. Select the location you want to share. You only do this once.
8. Tap on the device you want to setup.
   

   

9. Select the controller you want to pair the device with.
   

   

10. Optional, you can program the controller to turn off when the Guardian turns off the water.
    

    

Congratulations! You have successfully setup a Guardian device and connected it to a controller.
