How do you resolve a pump fault error

A fault message appearing on your Timer or phone typically means that your Controller is detecting a short in the Wire connected to the PUMP terminal.

A quick test to determine whether the Controller or the pump start relay is at fault is to disconnect the Wire from the pump terminal on the Controller. To do this test, remove the Wire from the PUMP terminal on your Controller and try running a Station or Program manually.

If the fault message does not appear, there’s an issue with the Pump or Pump Start Relay that was wired to the PUMP terminal.

If the fault message remains or reappears (with no wires connected to the PUMP terminal), then the Controller is at fault and should be replaced.
